Peppermint Cottage Wall inspires World Trade Center Memorial

The "Wall" at the Peppermint Cottage B&B September 11, 2003


 

Our thoughts are in the drawings we hereby submit as our presentation.  We think of the buildings as they exist in the minds of the families who are with us here on earth---yet offer some opportunity for memories of the "departed".

Elements Of the Overall Presentation—–

·          Waterfalls falling on all sides of the Pentagon

·          Twin Towers of Copper 130 feet high.

·          Pentagon sides will  be 100 feet on each side.

·          Gardens to be planted with deciduous and evergreen shrubs, perennials, ornamentals and bulbs.

·          Further our "Gardens" offer areas for survivors, both family members as well as friends to caste their thoughts and minds towards the people that cannot be with them at this site.

·          Footprints of both towers will be represented by a wall of stone 8 feet high. This will feature different rocks from around the world.  The rock will be cut and shaped in rectangles and engraved also with poems, memorials and pen/ink drawings.

·          The statues  "Tears of Why" will face the  Towers, other statues depict.

·           Grief (man on knees).

·          There are Topiaries of Firemen, Police as well as Rescue Workers.
